Day 1: Arrival & Ulaanbaatar Introduction (Sep 17)

Upon arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN), you will be greeted by your guide and driver and transferred to your hotel to check in. After settling in, you will embark on a city tour, starting at the central Sükhbaatar Square to see the Parliament House. The tour continues to the Zaisan memorial to gain a fascinating view of the capital. In the evening, you will enjoy a welcome dinner at a restaurant serving modern Mongolian cuisine.

Day 2: Natural Wonders of Terelj National Park (Sep 18)

After breakfast, you will journey to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, known for its stunning landscapes. The day includes a visit to the famous Turtle Rock, a massive and uniquely shaped rock formation, and a short hike up to the Ariyabal Meditation Temple, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valley. After lunch at a traditional ger camp, you will visit a local nomadic family to experience their renowned hospitality and learn about their daily life before returning to Ulaanbaatar for the evening.

Day 3: Flight to the Wild West - Ulgii (Sep 19)

An early breakfast is followed by a transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Ulgii, the provincial capital of Bayan-Ulgii. Upon arrival, you will be met by your local Kazakh guide and driver. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will embark on a tour of Ulgii town, visiting the local Provincial Museum to learn about the unique history and culture of the Kazakh people, and exploring the bustling local market to see local crafts and get a feel for life in this remote region. Afterwards, you will travel to your traditional ger camp to settle in for the night.

Day 4: Golden Eagle Festival - Opening Day (Sep 20)

The day begins with the grand Opening Ceremony of the Golden Eagle Festival. You will witness the magnificent parade of dozens of eagle hunters (Burkitshi) on horseback, dressed in their elaborate, traditional fur clothing and holding their majestic eagles. You'll spend the day watching the initial rounds of competitions where eagles are judged on their speed and agility, and you can immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere by observing traditional Kazakh games and exploring local craft stalls.

Day 5: Golden Eagle Festival - Finals & Celebration (Sep 21)

You will return to the festival grounds for the final and most thrilling day of events. The main competition showcases the eagles' incredible hunting skills as they chase a lure dragged by a horse. You will also enjoy more cultural performances and traditional sports before witnessing the proud awards and closing ceremony, where the champion eagle hunter is crowned. The day concludes with a celebratory dinner at the ger camp.

Day 6: Return to Ulaanbaatar & Chinggis Khan's Legacy (Sep 22)

After a final breakfast at the ger camp, you will transfer to Ulgii airport for your return flight to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, you will drive to the Tsonjin Boldog area to visit the magnificent Chinggis Khan Statue Complex. Here, you can marvel at the enormous 40-meter-high stainless steel statue of the great Khan on horseback and take an elevator up to the horse's head for a panoramic view of the vast steppe before returning to your hotel in the city.

Day 7: A Glimpse into Mongol Nomadic Life (Sep 23)

Today is dedicated to a deeper cultural immersion. You will visit the Mongol Nomadic Show, a cultural park where you will see captivating, hands-on demonstrations of traditional nomadic life, from assembling a ger to milking livestock and making dairy products. After a traditional lunch, you will return to the city for souvenir shopping. The journey concludes with a farewell dinner featuring a spectacular traditional Mongolian music and dance performance.

Day 8: Departure (Sep 24)

Enjoy a final breakfast in Mongolia. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping before your guide and driver transfer you to Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN) for your departure.
