ITINERARY
Day 1 (Oct 1): Arrival & Ulaanbaatar Introduction
Upon your arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN), you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, you will embark on a city tour, visiting the central Sükhbaatar Square and the National Museum of Mongolia to gain a fascinating overview of the country's rich history. The day concludes with a welcome dinner at a fine local restaurant.

Day 2 (Oct 2): Natural Wonders of Terelj National Park
Today you will journey to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, one of Mongolia's most beautiful and accessible natural reserves. You will explore the park's unique attractions, including the famous Turtle Rock formation and the scenic Ariyabal Meditation Temple. The experience is deepened with a visit to a local nomadic family, offering a firsthand glimpse into their traditional way of life before you return to Ulaanbaatar for the evening.

Day 3 (Oct 3): Flight to Khovd & Overland to Ulgii
An early morning flight takes you west to the city of Khovd. Upon arrival, you will meet your local Kazakh driver and begin the scenic overland journey towards Ulgii. This drive is an adventure in itself, taking you through the vast, rugged, and beautiful landscapes of the Altai Mountains. You will arrive in the Ulgii area in the late afternoon and check into your traditional ger camp, your authentic home for the festival.

Day 4 (Oct 4): Golden Eagle Festival - Opening Day
The day begins with the grand Opening Ceremony of the Golden Eagle Festival. You will witness the magnificent parade of dozens of eagle hunters (Burkitshi) on horseback, dressed in their elaborate, traditional fur clothing and holding their majestic eagles. You'll spend the day watching the initial rounds of competitions where eagles are judged on their speed and agility, immersing yourself in the festive atmosphere.

Day 5 (Oct 5): Festival Finals & Journey back to Khovd
You will return to the festival grounds to witness the final and most thrilling day of events, where the eagles showcase their incredible hunting skills. After soaking in the final competitions and the vibrant atmosphere of the closing ceremony, you will begin the scenic drive back to Khovd in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and enjoy dinner, well-positioned for your morning flight.

Day 6 (Oct 6): Return to Ulaanbaatar & Chinggis Khan's Legacy
After breakfast, you will take a morning flight from Khovd back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, you will drive to the Tsonjin Boldog area to visit the magnificent Chinggis Khan Statue Complex. Here, you can marvel at the enormous 40-meter-high stainless steel statue of the great Khan and take an elevator up to the horse's head for a panoramic view of the vast steppe before returning to your hotel in the city.

Day 7 (Oct 7): A Glimpse into Mongol Nomadic Life
Today is dedicated to a deeper cultural immersion. You will visit the Mongol Nomadic Show, a cultural park where you will see captivating, hands-on demonstrations of traditional nomadic life. After a traditional lunch, you will return to the city for souvenir shopping. The journey concludes with a farewell dinner featuring a spectacular traditional Mongolian music and dance performance.

Day 8 (Oct 8): Departure
Enjoy a final breakfast in Mongolia. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping before your guide and driver transfer you to Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN) for your departure.
