ITINERARY
Day 1 (6 Apr):
Arrival at Paro Intl. Airport. Your guide and driver will receive you at the airport. Take a 1 hour drive to Thimphu, and make a quick stop at Tamchoe Lhakhang Monastery. Check in to Thimphu hotel.
Accommodation: Peaceful Resort or similar
Day 2 (7 Apr):
After breakfast you will be taken for tour of Thimphu City. You will be visiting Simtokha Dzong, Buddha Dordenma Statue, Memorial Chorten stupa, Simply Bhutan museum and Mothithang Takin Preservation center. Stroll through Thimphu town and the local handicraft stores. Visit the Tashichoe Dzong (Fortress) in the evening before returning back to the hotel.

Day 3 (8 Apr):
Take a 2 hour drive to Punakha, the old capital. On the way, you stop at Dochula pass, which is one of the highest road points in Bhutan at 3100m. Visit Chimi Lhakhang (Temple of Fertility) and the Punakha Dzong (Fortress) before checking in to Punakha hotel.

Day 4 (9 Apr):
After breakfast, take a 2.5 hour drive to Phobjikha valley. Visit the Gangtey Monastery and head for a nature hike around Gangtey. Leisure evening. Check in Phobjikha hotel.

Day 5 (10 Apr):
Take an early morning drive back towards Paro which will take 4.5 hours. We head straight for the Paro Dzong (Fortress) to witness the Paro Tsechu. Enjoy the day of festivities and stroll through Paro town. Check in to the Paro hotel.
Accommodation: Nirvana Inn or similar
Day 6 (11 Apr):
On your last day, hike to the famous Tigers Nest Monastery, also known as Taktsang. (approx. 2 hour ascend). After the hike, head back to Paro town. You have the option or visiting the last day of the Tsechu or enjoying a leisure evening.

Day 7 (12 Apr):
Departure back to SG.
