This 3-day, 2-night adventure in East Java is a perfect introduction to the region's natural wonders, with departures from Surabaya, Malang, or Bali. The tour includes a sunrise over Mount Bromo, a visit to the turquoise crater lake of Ijen, and the stunning scenery of Madakaripura Waterfall.
ITINERARY
*If tour is starting from Bali, the route will be different but the attractions visited are the same.
Day 1: Arrival and head to Bondowoso
Upon arrival at Juanda International Airport, embark on a 6-hour transfer to Bondowoso. Settle into your hotel for an early rest before the Ijen hike.
Day 2: Ijen Sunrise Hike
You will check out from your Bondowoso hotel at 11 PM (on the night of Day 1) to head to the Ijen entrance. Begin the hike to the Ijen Crater rim to witness the mesmerizing blue flame and the stunning 200-meter deep sulfuric crater at sunrise. After the hike, at around 8 AM, we will head back to Bondowoso hotel to wash up, before continuing the journey to the Bromo region, setting the stage for the last phase of your East Java adventure. (if early, we can do the Madakaripura waterfall exploration before check in)
Day 3: Bromo Sunrise View
Begin your day early at 2 am with a 4WD Jeep ride to catch the breathtaking Bromo Sunrise from the viewpoint. Take memorable photos with the jeep and explore the unique Sea of Sands. Continue to the Bromo Crater Rim, where you can choose to walk or ride a horse ((30mins ~SGD25)) to the top. After the morning adventure, return to the hotel to freshen up and rest. After check out at 12pm, option to head to nearby Madakaripura Waterfall for a hike (about 1-2hrs) or head back to Surabaya/Malang for your flight back. (reminder to reach airport at least 2 hrs before flight)
