Here, you will step away from standard tourist routes and immerse yourself entirely in the traditional nomadic way of life. You will be welcomed into a local nomadic family’s Ger, experiencing firsthand their legendary hospitality, sharing warm milk tea, and learning about their ancient customs.

Day 5: The Taiga Expedition – Riding to the Reindeer Herders
*(Note: If a horseback expedition isn't for you, an alternative route via ferry across Khuvsgul Lake to visit a closer reindeer camp can be arranged). Saddle up for an unforgettable horseback riding expedition towards the Baruun Taiga, the remote homeland of the Tsaatan (Dukha) reindeer-herding communities. Guided by expert horsemen, you will traverse wooded terrains, crossing streams and open meadows as you journey deeper into the Siberian taiga forest. By late afternoon, you will arrive at the encampment, making first contact with the Reindeer people and settling into your traditional Ort (Teepee) for the night.

You will spend the next 12 hours rolling across the Mongolian steppe under the cover of darkness, resting in your sleeper cabin as the train makes its way back to the capital.
